Tom Ferrante Swing Band is a 12
piece band made up of New England's most highly experienced and
respected jazz musicians that plays the best music of the Big Band Swing
Era. They performed an amazing night of big band music.
The benefit concert raised more than $11,000!

The beading/bracelets was very fun. We made lots of great things (the kids were very creative). We had 18 or so for the afternoon session and 10 at the evening session. We raised about $100 on the spot and made inventory worth about another $100 for the yard sale.

A Bridge the Gap fundraiser organized by the
Bannon Family. It was a beautiful day and they raised a total of $600
for Bridge the Gap! Here is a note from Linda Bannon:
We had so much help from neighbors and Brackett families who
baked and helped make it such a success. The kids had a great time and
really enjoyed helping to raise money for such a good cause.
Returnable Cans and Bottles Collection Event Saturday, May
29, 9 am - 1 pm Arlington High School
Spreadheaded by Gordon Jamieson. Over 8,000 cans and bottles were collected on netting over $400 for the BTG fund raising effort! Among those participating were AHS Save club students, APS teachers, APS superintendent Bodie, and SC chair Joe Curro. Additional additional cash donations were made during the event as well.

The Lemonade Stand and Bake Sale were a huge success, raising a total of $976! Many thanks to the Arlington Children Center Kindergarteners and their parents.

Cream and Bake Sale was hugely successful. It raised over $7,000 for
Bridge the Gap! Many thanks to organizers Liz Dinolfo, Nili Pearlmutter
and Lisa Robinson for spearheading the event. It was a great community

A huge thank
you to the Arlington PTOs, Arlington residents, and all the parents from
the Arlington Public Schools and Arlington preschools, who baked,
volunteered, supported, and spread the word. The level of participation
was inspirational. Thanks also to the many local businesses who
generously donated food, drinks and supplies.

Bishop Bear Fair Saturday, May 15
Picture from the Bishop Bear Fair where kids chimed in on their favorite 'special' in elementary school. All elementary specials (art, music, library and physical education) will be reduced or eliminated next year. Bridge the Gap can help save these programs.
