AEF is thrilled to announce our Fall 2011 Innovations in Education Grants. We have awarded over $12,000 to seven projects that will support technology, arts, and literacy across the Arlington Public Schools, including iPods for language learners and struggling readers at Arlington High School, a pilot program using Kindles for fifth grade reading groups at the Dallin, collaborative world cultures art projects at the Bishop, experimental interactive whiteboard technology at the Ottoson Middle School, a new spelling program at the Brackett, and a new Digital Film and Animation Program at Arlington High School

Save the date: AEF's Annual Trivia Bee will be on Sunday, March 25th in Arlington Town Hall
In June 2011, Ottoson Middle School's Tom Zierk and Arlington High School's Michael Sandler were named AEF's first STARS Teachers of the Year. The STARS program offers families the opportunity to honor a favorite teacher by making a donation to AEF. The STARS Teacher of the Year awards honor the OMS and AHS teachers who receive the most STARS for the year.
