In June 2011, Ottoson Middle School's Tom Zierk and Arlington High School's Michael Sandler were named AEF's first STARS Teachers of the Year.  The STARS program offers families the opportunity to honor a favorite teacher by making a donation to AEF.  The STARS Teacher of the Year awards honor the OMS and AHS teachers who receive the most STARS for the year.
